The Problem

Haws-KM had built a national reputation through high-profile litigation, but their website told a different story, static, difficult to manage, and out of step with the level of work they were doing.

The site wasn’t just visually outdated, it created friction internally, making even simple updates unnecessarily complex.

Rethinking the Structure

The challenge wasn’t just visual. It was structural.

Instead of approaching this as a redesign, I focused on how the site functioned beneath the surface, how content was created, managed, and scaled.

The goal was to build a system that matched the firm’s level of precision while giving their team the ability to move quickly without relying on developers.

Building a Flexible System

I developed a flexible content architecture using custom post types and modular field structures, allowing key content, case results, practice areas, and insights, to be created once and deployed dynamically across the site.

On the frontend, reusable components ensured consistency while adapting to different content needs. On the backend, the CMS was structured to be intuitive, reducing friction and making content updates fast and reliable.

The Result

The result is a platform that reflects the firm’s credibility while operating with the flexibility of a modern system.

What was once rigid and difficult to maintain is now scalable, intuitive, and built to evolve, allowing their team to publish and update content in minutes instead of hours.
